L’Oréal Dermatological Beauty is a division of L’Oréal Group that focuses on science-driven, dermatologist-approved skincare brands such as La Roche-Posay, Vichy, CeraVe, Skinceuticals, and Skinbetter Science.
This B2B website was created to help L’Oréal differentiate its brands by bridging the gap between cosmetic skincare and medical dermatology. It has become a central hub for its science-driven brands while also serving as a membership-based platform for medical professionals.
Built in the Sitecore platform, it needed to feature a library showcasing the latest scientific research, upcoming conventions, product innovations, and educational resources, along with the ability to purchase products or connect with customer representatives for doctor-distributed samples.
This site went through an extensive amount of exploratory UI and wireframing before any hi-fidelity mocks were created.
I developed interactive wireframes that served as the foundation for the site’s user experience, ensuring a seamless and intuitive design. These wireframes underwent focus group testing to gather user insights and refine functionality. Additionally, they were reviewed by all five brand stakeholders to align with their objectives.
Ultimately, I created a look and feel that felt true to L’Oréal while incorporating a multi-brand product storefront.
It needed to encourage new membership while offering clear, easily accessible sections for current members to maximize their benefits. This included cross-brand areas highlighting upcoming conventions and large modules designed to encourage browsing by both brand and topic within their Specialty Corners.
Another major area that I tackled was their Download Resources library of assets. Using skinbetter as an example, this area allowed internal teams or doctors to quickly access and download videos, training guides, before & after images and printables in different formats.
Another section of the site was created to showcase L’Oréal’s commitment to sustainability by highlighting the brand’s initiatives.
